Third sector

The third sector is central to the Government’s plans for social and economic regeneration and is a vital component in many communities and partnerships across the UK.

We work with charities, social enterprises, community development groups and corporate social responsibility teams to help these organisations build partnerships and raise their profile. Where policy needs to change we help pressure groups campaign through Parliament and the media.

Unicef - Breastfeeding Manifesto Coalition

Linstock Communications helped Unicef UK, Best Beginnings and a coalition of 39 not for profit organisations launch the Breastfeeding Manifesto - seven policy proposals for Government to improve the health of mothers and babies and save the NHS millions of pounds. The Coalition also included Save the Children, the Royal College of Nursing and the Royal College of Midwives.

Linstock helped build interest and support among Members of Parliament. We encouraged more than 200 MPs to sign up to the Manifesto and also planned and executed an extensive media campaign through TV, radio, national print and trade media. The manifesto was covered on BBC Breakfast, Radio 5 and GMTV and in the Sunday Times, Guardian and Telegraph. At the culmination of the campaign, the Deputy Prime Minister endorsed the manifesto during Prime Minister's Questions and the Minister for Public Health expressed their support on live TV.

Norwich Union

Norwich Union commissioned Linstock to audit and evaluate the company’s CSR activity in UK cities where it has a commercial base.  Following interviews with staff and stakeholders in each UK location, we produced a map of current CSR commitments and assessed each against agreed criteria.  We prepared a ten point framework to guide future decisions on CSR opportunities, and made recommendations as to how Norwich Union could make better use of its strong record on CSR with local authorities and other civic leaders.
