Before joining Linstock I spent more than 20 years working in-house in the field of public relations, most of it within the criminal justice system. I am a media relations and crisis communications specialist, having worked in that role for Surrey Police, the Home Office, the Metropolitan Police Service and the Inland Revenue.
My most recent in-house post was as Head of Corporate Affairs for the Parole Board of England and Wales, where I acted as senior advisor on all aspects of communications and briefing Ministers and Parliament. In my time I have advised Chief Constables, Chief Executives and Cabinet Ministers.
I have a degree in politics from UEA and a post-graduate diploma in public relations from the CIPR. In my spare time I am an associate lecturer on the BA course in public relations at the London College of Communication. I am also a tutor and marker on a number of CIPR courses with the PR Academy.
In addition to media relations and crisis communications, I also advise Linstock clients on stakeholder engagement and reputation management. I hold a particular academic and practitioner interest in ethics and behaviour change and I am a member of the CIPR Diversity Working Group.
